Who We Are

Founded in the early 2000's by a group of community-oriented parents, Bay Shore Youth Lacrosse, Inc. is a non-profit youth sports organization dedicated to promoting and developing youth lacrosse in the Bay Shore - Brightwaters community. We work in conjunction with both the Bay Shore High School girl's and boy's programs in order to create young players that love the game and are prepared for interscholastic play.

Bay Shore Youth Lacrosse is run by a seven-person Board of Directors who serve in a volunteer capacity to manage the various aspects of the organization including: registration, website management, coaches, practice facilities, game schedules, insurance, and coordination with Nassau-Suffolk PAL Lacrosse League.  The current members of the Board are: Jeff Llhulier, Matt Campoletanno, Rory, O'neill, Tara Mooney, Jacqui Basserman, Doug Meehan and Justin Martinich.  Any parent interested in becoming a board member should speak with a current board member to be considered for future vacancies.  In the event of a board vacancy, a new board member would need the approval of a majority of the current board members.

All of our coaches are dedicated volunteer parents. Most of our coaches have played lacrosse in high school and many have played in college. In fact, many of our current girl's and boy's coaches are alumni of Bay Shore High School lacrosse and are thrilled to come back to coach our children and provide the same experience they benefitted from as kids.

We are always looking for new coaches, especially at the younger levels, so we can continue to provide a positive developmental lacrosse experience and maintain a flow of players to the interscholastic level in middle and high school.

Please contact us for additional information or for opportunities on how you can get involved.
